The 4* supplement was well worth it. The Ambassador hotel was particularly good I was impressed that I could have my room when I arrived in the early morning in St Petersburg, I expected to have to wait to check in until much later It was good that both hotels had FREE internet access The included excursion in St Petersburg was very good, the guide (Svetlana) was outstanding, she also helped me to buy Ballet tickets at the Marinsky theatre The transfer to the train was on time and we were also escorted onto the train by a very helpful member of the hotel staff. He is to be commended. The transfer to the airport was on time

Dear Zivile. Thank you for all the assistance and help you gave me for last weeks trip to Russia, it was a fantastic experience and one I will remember for a long time. There was never a hitch in the program and no problems as I do not speak, write or understand Russian in any form. Arriving at the St Petersburg airport I easily found the ”gorussia” sign and the driver to take me to the Hotel. In fact I later met this driver several times, he was always punctual and helpful with my luggage. The first guide, Svetlana, was mature, very knowledgeable, communicated well, had a good sense of humour and felt like a friend. In addition to site seeing I was able to get a little insite to Russian life and her parents survival through the siege of Stalingrad. The snowmobile safari was excellent with a most capable crew. The 2 night stay in the guest house could not have been bettered, warm, comfortable, great attention paid in producing good food,and jolly in the evenings during which I learnt the proper Russian way to drink Vodka. All in all this was a wonderful adventure. I took many pictures and would be only too pleased to post a copy to you if you are interested. Regards John.

Hi Diana I am writing to thank you for a fantastic trip to Russia. Myself and my friend thought that the organisation, hotels and transfers were fantastic. I would like to especially thank the man ( I cannot remember his name) that took us to the train station in Moscow and put us on the train and Svetlana who took us on our St Petersburg city tour and helped us to book a memorable evening at the ballet-for their kindness and helpfulness- they were both wonderful. I would also like to thank you very much for all the help you gave us in booking our trip to this fantastic country I am very grateful to you and hope to return in the not too distant future. Hallo, wir 4 Personen aus München sind nun einige Tage vom St. Petersburg/Karelien-Urlaub zurück und melden uns auf diesem Wege bei Ihnen. Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich bei Ihnen bedanken für den wunderschönen Urlaub in Russland. Es hat vom Abflug in München über St. Petersburg nach Petrozavodsk mit der Bahn alles ganz hervorragend geklappt. Alles war pünktlich und die Guides standen jeweils sofort bereit um uns zu empfangen. Es waren ausnahmslos sehr freundliche Menschen. Der Guide in St. Petersburg sprach ganz hervorragend deutsch und konnte uns diese herrliche Stadt etwas näherbringen. Bei der Snowmobiltour in Karelien hatten wir 2 russische Guides und eine junge Frau die uns als Dolmetscherin begleitete. Eine herrliche Tour durch das tief verschneite und nicht zu kalte Karelien. Wir wussten vor der Reise nicht was uns erwarten würde, aber all unsere Hoffnungen wurden weit übertroffen. Alles in allem sehr nette Leute, wunderbare Unterbringung und ein überaus beeindruckendes Land. Vielen herzlichen Dank für Ihre Bemühungen uns einen unvergessenen Urlaub zu bescheren.
